2016 saw a few big releases in the pop genre. While I don’t follow pop as much as some other genres, I still enjoyed quite a few tracks from the past year. What defines pop is not always clear… as such I have a mix of some artist such as the Weeknd and Drake, who have branched into pop music, and others who are less mainstream but still fall under the umbrella of the genre, such as Sampha and James Blake.
Therefore, to celebrate some of the great pop tracks from this year I have made this playlist.
